    Some very fine ones there. The hybrid is a bit of a worry, that wing-tip would just look Caspian in the field at your average gull roost. It would have been interesting to know what the structure of the bird was like. I don't mind that there are some you can't ID but if there are some that look ok in the field but actually are not perhaps I should end the day with tea and biscuits rather than roosting gulls.

    Greg is working with us on the second paper on Caspian Gulls for BB, so i had seen these. I am particularly interested in the thayeri-type pattern on one of the images.
