    Default Thrush Bahrain

    would anybody like to pass any comments on this bird - Its the only photograph sadly and was taken through a chain link fence on the 11 December

    Cannot really see anything other than Song Thrush here Howard.

    Looks like a song thrush to me too. Can't be very common in Bahrain though. I think its just a little south of its normal winter range. Well done for picking it up.

    Am I the only person who gets a kick about seeing common birds in uncommon places or is that because I bird in Libya!

    Actually fairly common in Winter here - we can get quite large congregations - I had put the picture up on my web page as an odd looking Song thrush but have since received a few emails questioning the ID - hence the pictures here.
    These two in the tree I photographed while waiting on the Hypocolius to depart this area which is one of their current evening roosts
