Anyone have suggestions about where and how to bird in Aruba. Won't have car but can get one if needed. Are there any members out there willing to show an enthusiastic couple around the island or are there any worthwhile tours.

I had to look it up! For those of you who are, like me, geographically challenged, the following information is from Wikipedia:

Aruba is a 33 km-long island of the Lesser Antilles in the southern Caribbean Sea, located 27 km north of the coast of Venezuela. Together with Bonaire and Curaçao, it forms a group referred to as the ABC islands of the Leeward Antilles, the southern island chain of the Lesser Antilles.

That doesn't help Bonnie of course, but the following birdingpal link might:

    Looks idyllic !

Surprising number (over 3 dozen) of trip reports and other info. on this website:

It looks as if you'll get a nice mix of S. American, Antillean and N. American vagrant species and might even find a 'new' bird for the island. Lots of photo opportunities.

    Good luck.
