Not putting myself up for this, but will be interested to see the outcome.
I met Richard Crossley on my local patch at Ria de Alvor several years ago - we, as a Yorkshireman and a Cumbrian, had a very long and interesting conversation; his family have a connection with the Algarve. He was photographing ducks and waders on the marsh at the time and it was this meeting which re-invigorated my interest in bird photography (and resulted in me spending vast amounts of money on gear!). He told me about his contract to shoot images for "The Shorebirds of N America" plus other projects he had in hand. I know that he also does a lot of work for educating youngsters about natural history and birdlife in particular.
A very nice guy; I hope his book does well.
If you've not already found someone to review this from a UK perspective, I'd be more than happy to do it.
Obviously, this is going to be a very popular book! Inundated with requests to review it. Sorry, if we haven't contacted you but we picked the first two to PM us.
