    Question keeping squirrel baffles clean

Hi, I'm new to the forum, and wondered if anyone had advice on keeping squirrel baffles clean. I have several bird feeders, and love watching the birds, but also have lots of squirrels (heavily wooded neighborhood), so the baffles are a must. I hose them off, but they get really dirty from the bird droppings (especially the starlings - can't avoid em ). I've just cleaned and repainted them for the summer, to keep them from rusting, and wondered if anyone has tried spraying teflon, or automotive wax, or anything else to make them easier to clean. Thanks for any advice! Cotton Jenny
