About 45 minutes ago i had large numbers of swifts feeding and moving through, over my garden in Hertfordshire. I saw this bird amougst the 100-150 common swifts and just wondered what everyones thoughts on the bird are, i have a few ideas but wondered what you all think!
The bird is preening in the photo (its body and tail were turned opposite ways) thus making the white look like its just on the side but it was its rump. It had longer, more pointed wings compared to the other swifts and it flew with more longer glides. I didnt manage to get a decent view of its tail (other than the one in the photo).
Sorry the photo is bad quality, ive croped it, only managed one as it flew out of view and never showed itself again!
