Here are four pictures of what at first looks like a sparrow.
However, in the Collins,,the sparrows have just tree little white patches on their side...(Median Bar?),,this guy has a whole row of them about 7.
The coal tit is identifyable by these little white patches on its side.
The place were we photographed this bird has skylarks, linnets, whitethroats and the odd yellow hammer.
Whilst sparrows have been very much at a premium over the last couple of years,,this year there are a LOT more sparrows about and they are popping up all over the place on the Isle of Wight.
Any help regarding these white patches would be appreciated,,or is NOT a sparrow.
