Came across the following sighting on the Bedgebury Pinetum bird sightings web page this morning. Relates to last year (2010).
"A Crested Tit, a most unusual but nonetheless welcome visitor, was spotted on the property next to the Pinetum, on bird feeders, a couple of times around 19-21 June. That will also have to be noted as a “first” for Bedgebury! "
Has anyone else heard of this? Presumably it is a case of mistaken identity?
Although if this species was to turn up anywhere in England, Bedgebury would be a good bet.
