    Default Chrysis Crisis!

    Hi.

I wondered what you thought of this little critter.

It's either Chrysis Angustula or Chrysis Ignita (aka Ruby Tailed Wasp). I'm favouring Chrysis Angustula as it displays black and white banding on the antennae (as shown in my photo) whereas C.Ignita does not. Otherwise they are both almost identical.

    What do you think?

    Default Chrysis ID

Impossible to ID to species from your pic. The Cuckoo-wasps are a fiendishly difficult group at the best of times. Try looking at: http://www.bwars.com/Resources.htm for more help.

    Cheers,

    Paul
