The hurricane-driven birds in the States appear to linger for a couple of days on large bodies of water. Waskerley looks pretty small - perhaps commuting between here and Derwent or just stopped here briefly on its way south...
And now reported (again unconfirmed!) from Colt Crag Reservoir in Northumbs, 27 km NNW of Derwent Resr.
Just wish it would settle down somewhere, preferably somewhere accessible (and preferably in Northumbs!) . . . odd thing is, when it is flying between these places, it would have a clear view of the North Sea off to the east, with an easy tailwind to get there.
. . . and it seems, no sign when people searched for it there
