Even that I am not spending too much time checking gulls they are usually in large number among other birds on the shore that I often observe. This fall, same like in past few years, there are quite a few Lesser Black-backed Gulls showing up. As I received some good help here a few years ago I hope that again some people will take a look and share their opinion about two gulls I saw recently. Both are size of the Black-backed Gull (in one photo there is an American Herring Gull in the background for comparison - even that Herring is little farther it is much bigger). Both gulls of interest have pink legs; one has very light back; another one is quite bleached out. I have now on the shore a few juvenile Black-backed Gulls; these have pink legs but all adults have yellow legs.
I will appreciate your help - thanks in advance.
