Photograph 1 and 2: I think is a Wigeon but the head is lacking a crest.
Photograph 3: I have no idea what it is. It looks odd though.
Photograph 4 and 5: Just looking for confirmation of Pochard.
All seen at Marston Vale Wetlands Reserve, Bedfordshire, UK.

Well 1 & 2 are wigeon, and wigeon don't have a crest. 3 looks like female a gadwall and 4 & 5 seem to be pochard. What camera equipment are you using? the images are very small?

The images are only small due to heavy cropping.

1 / 2 - Wigeon (I know what you mean by "crest" - yellow stripe)
3 - Gadwall
4 - Pochard
5 - I'll leave that alone. I would wait until it stopped flapping, turned sideways and then identify it!

yes i guessed that. what i meant is that the bird is hard to id due to you taking the pics at a considerable distance. when you blow the pics up they just become a mess

5 is also a (male) Pochard. You can just about make out the reddish head, black breast and white belly. Diagnostic for Pochard.
