Default Curlew Sandpiper/Dunlin? Cliffe Pools September 2011

    Hi everybody,

I was out at Cliffe Pools RSPB in September when I found a large group of waders. Amongst them included Dunlin and a couple of potential Curlew Sandpiper. As I have never seen this species before, could somebody confirm their presence in the photos? If so, which one is the Curlew Sandpiper?

    Many Thanks,

Yes Curlew Sandpiper, you have two birds either side of what looks like a dunlin at the waters edge. The big blow up is a Curlew Sand. Then your other pic with two birds is a dunlin on the left with a Curlew Sandpiper on the right.
