Hi
I wonder if anyone out there can help me. I'm going to be in Florida soon but only for a few days layover in Miami after returning from the Caribbean. I would like to see Florida Scrub Jay and wondered which is the closest, reliable site to Miami? I'm told there is a population around Punta Gorda but cannot find any details, can anyone help? The other new bird in FL for me is Barred Owl and any help with locating this species would also be very much appreciated. Thanks and good birding! Malcolm |

Here's a site with lots of good info about finding Florida specialties, including Scrub Jay: http://www.tropicalaudubon.org/specialty.html
