Background:

Bulgaria during the month of September is at the crossroads of the autumn migration. Although this trip occurred during the last week of September, we believe that it was successful by providing each of the participants a diverse view of what Bulgaria has to offer.

Regions Covered: Sofia, Eastern Rhodope Mountains, Sakar Mountains, Central-Southern Black Sea Coast, Central Balkan Mountains

Weather: Sunny for all but one day (rain) with temperatures in the mid 20's (Celsius).

Yoav is an avid birder who is active in the Strandja Region of Bulgaria for bird conservation and study. All of Villa Philadelphia's tours are sanctioned by BirdLife International's partner in Bulgaria, The Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB). All tours specifically support BSPB projects as well as specialized conservation projects in the Southeastern Strandja Range.
