Very abundant on the plateau. Their noisy alarm call always a sign to look around for birds of prey.

Areas with high densities of these rodents the key to succeed in finding much wanted carnivores. Witnessed Pallas’s Cats, Tibetan Foxes and even Tibetan Wolves preying on them.
