They have been washing up on the local beaches for over month. Similar to Jellyfish, but more closely related to the Portugues Man-O-War. The vertical fin acts as a sail moving them around. As they bob along, they slurp up plankton that gets tangled in their tentacles.

On rare occasions, the surf and tide combine to wash the sand off the beach exposing the beds of the Bean Clams

In the main channel of the reserve. When it tried to leave members of the pod chased it back. It must have done something not acceptable to the pod so they punished it. Several days later, it returned to the open ocean to join the herd.
